Smooth tips, accurate sizing sturdy constructionI love these needles. After chipping a wooden one I bought these and they are so much easier to keep yarn from splitting due to the metal ends. Plus, they won't break like the wooden ones. I use them all the time for making socks and other things knitted in the round. Even though I was sent the wrong size I still like this type of needle. My favorite double points. Love the feel of them. Very high quality.I'm a hard, tight knitter so I've warped or broken my share of wooden needles. I love these because they're comfortable to hold and don't slip in your hand or against each other as much as shiny, smooth silver needles do. I'm usually much more partial to wood, but I've really grown to love these and have bought multiple sets of them. My only complaint is that the size marking wears off the side of the needle relatively easily so I have to measure the small ones to make sure they match up. Big whoop. You do that with wooden needles anyway, so it's not a big deal, but it would be nice if it would stay legible for longer. These are nice and heavy in the hand. The tips are like any other nickel needle but then the middle isn’t as slippery so I don’t worry about the DPNs sliding out of the stitches. I can knit faster than with bamboo. Pus they don’t split and seem like they will last forever. I am gradually replacing all of my DPNs with these. So worth the money.I love these needles! They have just the right flexibility as well as strength to knit on fine yarns. The dark center of the needles is a great contrast to my yarn while the brass tips make it easy to see the stitches! I much prefer them to my previous pair that were all metal.I really like these needles. They are light and strong. The surface on them is the perfect slickness, too. Not too slippery like metal and not too grabby like bamboo. I tried these because my size 0 bamboo needles have bent from use and I worry they will break even though I knit loose. No such worry with these! As one who rarely drops stitches, I was surprised to find I was losing quite a few when I was knitting socks. So much so, that I was forcedto put rubber tips on one end of the needle. I am assuming that the needles were too slippery, although a delight to knit with so I went backto bamboo needles .Love these, nice and rigid even below the 2.00 mm sizes.Nice needles, good weight. But you can feel where is the tip joins the shaft.Very good.
