This is a useful guide to beautiful beaded purses that is marred by the author's religious fanaticism. Why would religion have any place in a knitting guide?, you ask. Exactly. The person who inherits this book from me will have all of the references to the author's belief in a higher being and an afterlife crossed out. In fact, I may just add my own thoughts and turn this into an atheist's manifesto. To the author (and publisher): I just want to make purses, stop pushing a religious agenda.I live in New Zealand in a country town. I have managed to buy, from different countries, whilst travelling, four different bags. All fascinating but I wanted to make my own. I was thrilled to buy this book and its predecessor. Very clear instructions and advice plus a sheet for planning your own designs.If you ever wanted to knit one of those antique beaded purses that have a scene, this book will instruct you how. Such a wealth of information and images and patterns. It also tells you how to lock your bead in your knitting so it does not slip to the back. AND it has a new way of knitting so your purse isn't twisted.It also has the old knitting instructions. Great book. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in beaded purses.This book is very nicely done. It is easy to understand with great illustrations and instructions for making some lovely beaded purses.Excellent follow up book with lots of fun projects to bead.Cool pattern thanks
